Traditional plastic handle has been replaced by bamboo. Bristles are made of carbon treated soft nylon.

I like how the bristles feel – like they are really cleaning my teeth and gums. Durability so far is good too.

Comes in a box – no plastic wrapping. I bought the 4 pack. Available in pack of 8 as well.

I don’t think the nylon is bio-degradable.

Obviously does not give you the advantages of hyper-speed of electric toothbrushes.
